...random stream of blogiousness...

Wasn't there a Kurt Vonnegut novel about this kind of thing? Didn't it turn out really, really bad for everybody?

So I'm at the gym and this 'roid monster behind me is talking about how "yeah there's this chamber where they suck all the gravity out, like in space, then they weigh you in there and you get a really accurate body fat count."

The box art concept Ubi sent us for The Path of the Shell looks pretty sweet.

I'm continually surprised at the ability of people to communicate anything at all to each other, let alone something profound, given the radical differences in their life experiences and perceived purposes. Maybe profundity can only come from a direction you're not looking. Metaphysical sucker-punches.

I'm having a crisis of conscience. These happen periodically for me; it's nothing new. At Cyan, we try to make socially and morally responsible entertainment, as we see social and moral responsibility. Which is to say we think there are such things as social and moral responsibilities and that companies should have them. We don't really talk about it much. We just seem to all want it to be true. On good days, it's fighting the good fight. On dark days, I drive to work wondering why I'm spending my life busting my butt to entertain the richest people in the world when mostly I'd just like to smack us, all of us, and snap us out of it.
